By this application, Petitioners have prayed to amend the petition in terms of the draft amendments which are set out in Schedule I of the petition. The application is opposed on behalf of the Respondents by filing their reply of Mr. Menino D'Souza, Director of Respondent No.2. 2.

We have perused the memo of the application as also the reply affidavit. We have also perused the order dated 31.10.2017 passed by a 17th November 2022

2 WP-111-2003.doc Coordinate Bench of this Court which has categorically recorded that an amendment application is proposed to be moved on behalf of the Petitioners. In our opinion, it is in the interest of justice that the amendment application be allowed in terms of the prayers as made in the application. Accordingly, the Petitioners are permitted to carry out the amendment to the petition in terms of Schedule I which be carried out within a period of one week from today.

Reply affidavit, if any to the amended petition, be placed on record within two weeks from today.
