The learned Advocate General for the Respondents tenders affidavit in reply dated 26th April, 2018 and would submit that the Government of Goa has already taken a decision to amend the Recruitment Rules for the post of Inspector of Excise, under promotion quota by changing the ratio as 60% from amongst the Sub-Inspector of Excise and 40% from amongst the Upper Division Clerks/Junior Stenographers in the office of the Commissioner of Excise. The statements made in the affidavit in the reply are accepted.

2. The learned Advocate General further states that such Recruitment Rules would be amended within three months from

WP/511/2017 today. The statement is accepted.

3. In view of the statements made in the affidavit in reply and by the learned Advocate General across the bar, the learned counsel for the Petitioners states that this petition may be disposed of accordingly. The statement is accepted.

4. In view of the statements made in the affidavit in reply dated 26th April, 2018 and the statement made by the learned Advocate General across the bar which are accepted by this Court, the writ petition is disposed of on the aforesaid terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
