This is an application seeking permission for renewal of passport of applicant. The applicant has been convicted for offence u/s.395 r/w 120B, 397 and 402 of IPC. The appeal preferred by the applicant being Criminal Appeal No.564 of 2014 is pending in this Court. The sentence of imprisonment is suspended and applicant has been granted bail vide order dated 11-7-2014. 2.

The passport authority has issued passport to the applicant on 8-12-2017. After expiry of the passport it was renewed and again it has expired on 8-8-2021. The applicant had applied for renewal of passport. The status of renewal indicate that in the event criminal prosecution is pending against the applicant, he is required to obtain no objection from the concerned Court. Since the appeal against MANISH SURESH THATTE MANISH SURESH THATTE Date: 2022.03.15 10:49:16 +0530 conviction is pending in this Court, the applicant has preferred this application seeking such permission for renewal of passport.

The appeal preferred by the applicant has been admitted by this Court on 4-7-2014. It is pending for final disposal. Considering the fact that passport is required to be renewed, the passport authorities may renew the passport of applicant for a period of five years in accordance with rules and regulations. The Interim Application is disposed of.
