This petition can be disposed of by issuing direction to the respondent No.1 to decide the Revision Petition bearing No.339 of 2008 presented by the petitioners on 5th September 2008 challenging the order dated 5th May 2000 passed by the respondent No.2, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from today, if no such decision has already been taken.

The respondent No.1 shall decide the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. It is clarified that we have not considered the merits of the matter, as averred in the petition and it would be open for the respondent No.1 to take appropriate decision as permissible in law.
