The relief prayed for in this Petition in terms of Prayer clause (a), reads thus :

"Your Lordship may be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the Respondent No.1 to decide the Demand Application dated 25.08.2021, Exhibit "A" hereto, within time bound programme, thereby demanding the land Gat Nos.35 and 751 area 0.81 area respectively in Village osk 1 of

34-Wp-14406-2022.doc Danvad, Taluka Shirol, District Kolhapur for effective and complete rehabilitation of the Petitioner as the project affected person, forthwith."

In our opinion, having regard to the averments made in the Petition and after hearing the learned counsel for the Petitioner, though the learned A.G.P. opposed the Petition, the ends of justice would be met if the application mentioned in prayer clause (a) is looked into and taken to its logical conclusion by the Respondent No.1 i.e. Collector and Deputy Director for rehabilitation, Collector Office, Nagala Park, Kolhapur, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order, if not already decided. The said Application be dealt with on its own merits and in accordance with law.
