6th May 2025 PC:- The Petitioners seek quashing and setting aside of the case filed against them by the Respondent No.1 being Criminal Miscellaneous Petition No. 245 of 2019, pending before the Judicial Magistrate First Class at Jath, Sangli, under the provisions of the Protection of Women from the Domestic Violence Act, 2005 (D.V. Act).

It appears from the record that the present petition has been filed on 17th January 2022 and till date, no 6th May 2025

22-WP-140-2022.DOC effort has been taken by the Petitioners or their counsel to circulate the petition. Even today, neither the counsel for the Petitioners nor the Petitioners themselves are present before the Court.

The petition is pending for the past three years without any effort being made by the Petitioners to proceed with the present matter. It appears that the Petitioners are not interested in prosecuting the present petition. In view of the aforesaid, the petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
