P.C. :- The two Petitions are of the vintage year 2007 and have obviously been rendered infructuous.

In both the Writ Petitions either the aggrieved teachers or their association seek relief that teachers in primary schools under Municipal Board on being declared surplus should not be adjusted under other schools.

No interim relief was granted either to the association or to the school teachers but a hope was expressed by the Court on 31 January 2007 that since most of the Petitioners were lady teachers efforts should be made to accommodate them either at the present place of posting or as close nearby.

Today in the year 2019, the Counsel for the Petitioners have no information as to where the Writ Petitioners are currently working.

Accordingly, without deciding the Writ Petitions on merits, we terminate the proceedings by discharging the Rule issued in Writ Petition No. 682 of 2007 and disposing of Writ Petition No. 709 of 2007 without any adjudication.
