The inartistically drafted Public Interest Petition, read meaningfully, pleads that as per census figure of the year 1981, 1,211,335 members of the caste Hindu Mang and Matang, listed as Scheduled Caste in the State of Maharashtra are residing in the State of Maharashtra and, therefore, out of the posts reserved for members of the Scheduled Caste 5% be reserved for members of the Mang and Matang Caste.
