Alleging willful and intentional violation of the order dated 24th February 2020 passed in a batch of writ petitions vide Writ Petition No. 1830 of 2020 and connected matters, the present contempt case has been laid seeking initiation of the proceeding under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.

However, at the outset, Mr. V. M. Mali, the learned AGP for the respondents-State submits that the direction issued by this Court in paragraph no. 2 of the order dated 24th February 2020 shall be decided within next two weeks by the Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur - respondent no. 3. 3.

Having regard to the statement made by Mr. V. M. Mali, the learned AGP on instructions of the respondent no. 3, this contempt case is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 3 to pass R.V.Patil

2/2 921 CP.502.2023.odt an order on the proposal for approval of the appointment of the petitioner by 13th August 2025, failing which the office shall register a suo motu contempt case against him and issue bailable warrant of arrest.
