The Petitioner was appointed for a contract period of six months from 2006 onwards on contract basis. The Petitioner was not continued as a contract employee after 2011.

It is submitted that as there was no vacancy available, the Petitioner was not given such appointment.

The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner submits that now there is a vacancy available with the Respondent-Board and the Petitioner should be considered for the appointment.

wp.986-2012 The learned Counsel appearing for the Respondent-Board submits that the representation filed by the Petitioner would be decided on its own merits and the decision so taken shall be communicated to the Petitioner.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation made by the Petitioner, the Respondent-Board is at liberty to take a decision and intimate the Petitioner accordingly. The decision shall be taken keeping in view the position in law and the relevant Rules and Regulations framed for the appointment of the Teachers. Writ Petition is disposed of.
