Heard Mr. Nilesh Patil, learned Counsel for the Petitioner. 2.
The petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.114 of 2020 registered with Islampur Police Station, District Sangli punishable under Sections 498A, 323 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code (for short 'IPC'). 3.
Today, the Complainant/Respondent No.2 is present before this Court together with the Petitioner.

It is the contention of the parties that they have settled the issues which they had with each other and accordingly they have separated from each other. As of today, relationship between parties has come to an end. To facilitate smooth life of both the parties, the complainant wishes to withdraw the present complaint. ZIP

The petitioner and the respondent No.2 are physically present in this Court. The petitioner is identiied by Mr. Nilesh Patil, learned counsel for the petitioner and the Respondent No.2, who is a doctor by profession is present in this Court.

We have speciically sought clariication from the Respondent No.2/complainant as to the nature of the settlement as also her intention, to which the complainant replied that she willfully and with her free will is desirous to settle the issue with the petitioner and does not want to proceed with the prosecution. 7.
In view of this, we are of the considered opinion that considering the settlement of the marital disputes, it would not be in the interest of the parties to continue the present proceedings. In fact, continuation of the present proceedings may result into unnecessary harassment to the parties. In view of this, the petition stands allowed and the FIR No.114 of 2020 dated 20.02.2020 stands quashed and set aside.
