After arguing for some time, learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that the Appellate Authority before whom the appeal is pending, may be directed to dispose of the said appeal expeditiously and within the period prescribed in terms of Section 250(6A) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

Be that as it may, the Petition is disposed of, with a direction to Commissioner of Income Tax(Appeal), NFAC to dispose of the appeal preferably within the time prescribed under the aforementioned provision.
