DATE: 26TH FEBRUARY, 2024 P.C.:- 1] The only direction sought by the Petitioners is consideration of the complaint dated 15/07/2023 made by the Petitioners to the Collector, Sangli with a prayer to take steps to remove the unauthorized construction undertaken on Government land.

2] Considering the nature of direction proposed to be issued, notice to Respondent No.9 is dispensed with.

3] The learned AGP waives service for Respondent Nos. 1 to 4 and 6 to 8.

4] According to the Petitioners, Respondent No.9 has undertaken unauthorized construction on a portion of land bearing Gut No.712/1 1/2

15 wp-2546-24.doc which is stated to be a forest land. For that reason, complaint dated 15/07/2023 has been addressed to the Collector. Since nothing further has been done in the matter, present writ petition has been filed. 5] Considering the aforesaid, a direction is issued to Respondent No.2 - Collector, Sangli to consider the complaint dated 15/07/2023 and take appropriate steps in accordance with law. While taking such decision, Respondent No.9 shall also be heard. The decision taken be communicated to the parties.
