Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned APP for the State.

This is an application for bail in respect of the offence punishable under sections 307, 504, 506 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 registered on 29/09/2022 vide C.R. No. 396 of 2022 with Valsang Police Station, District- Solapur Rural. 3.

The applicant was arrested on 30/09/2022. The prosecution case is that on 30/09/2022, the applicant was following one lady. The complainant dissuaded the applicant from doing so and asked 1/3

him not to follow the said lady. When the complainant was working in his field, the applicant along with 3 others came there and assaulted the complainant. The applicant gave a blow of knife on the stomach of the complainant. There are 2 injuries of which the injury on the stomach is grievous and the other injury is simple in nature. 4.

Learned APP opposed the application. Learned APP submitted that the victim is 78 years old and there is every possibility that the applicant may threaten and intimidate the victim. 5.

The investigation is complete and the charge-sheet has been filed. The applicant is in custody almost for 1 year with no possibility of the trial concluding any time soon. There are no criminal antecedents reported against the applicant. In the facts and circumstances of the present case, I am inclined to enlarge the applicant on bail. Hence, the following order :-

O R D E R

(a) The application is allowed.

(b) The applicant-Siddharam @ Sidhappa @ Siddhu Arjun Bansode in connection with C.R. No. 396 of 2022 registered with Valsang Police Station, Solapur Rural, shall be released on bail on his furnishing P.R. Bond of Rs.25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount.

(c) The applicant is permitted to furnish cash bail surety in the sum of Rs. 25,000/- for a period of 6 weeks in lieu of surety.

(d) The applicant shall attend the investigating officer of Valsang Police Station, Solapur Rural Police Station once in a month on every first Monday of the month between 11.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m.

(e) The applicant shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing the facts to Court or any Police Officer. The applicant shall not tamper with evidence.

(f) On being released on bail, the applicant shall furnish his contact number and residential address to the Investigating Officer and shall keep him updated, in case there is any change.

(g) The applicant shall not enter the jurisdiction of Valsang Police Station, Solapur Rural till the trial concludes except for the purpose of reporting to the investigating officer. 6.

The application is disposed of.
