The only issue raised by the Petitioner in this Petition is, that the proposal sent by the Respondent No.6 - Education Institution and the Headmaster, to the Education Officer for a decision, is still pending since 12th May, 2016. 2.

On 19th September, 2014, we had directed the learned AGP to make a statement on instructions from the Education Officer, as to whether the proposal is pending and if Pallavi Wargaonkar, P.S.

1-WP-5055-2023 yes, within how much time can it be decided. The learned AGP is without instructions on a spacious plea that the Education Officer was on training.

In view of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed off with a direction to the Respondent No.5 to follow the due procedure laid down in law and to decide the pending proposal for approval, on or before 15th November 2024, if not already decided.

Needless to state that, if the approval is granted, further steps for granting Shalarth ID to the Petitioner shall be initiated expeditiously.
