The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the appeal filed by the petitioner challenging the order of externment is pending before respondent no.3 i.e. Divisional Commissioner, Pune Division, Pune. He prays that direction may be issued to respondent no.3 to decide the said appeal and interim application filed in the said application within stipulated period.

We direct respondent no.3 to decide the pending appeal and interim-application therein as expeditiously as possible, however, within two weeks from the receipt of copy of this order and communicate the said decision to the petitioner. Writ Petition stands disposed of.

Needless to observe that the contentions raised on merits in the said appeal are kept open to be agitated before the appellate authority.
