Heard. By these petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the Petitioners are seeking direction to the Respondents and particularly against the Municipal Council, Kurundwad not to increase the house revenue taxes for the year 2017patilsr 1 / 2
18 and not to recover said increased house revenue tax. The relief claimed by the Petitioners cannot be granted in exercise of jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India 2.
Be that as it may, the revision of property taxes is undertaken by the municipality and the same is challenged by the Petitioners by filing appeals under section 169 of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats & Industrial Townships Act, 1965. Indisputably, the Petitioners have alternate and efficacious remedy and for this reason also we are not inclined to entertain these petitions. Writ petitions are, therefore, dismissed. [Smt. S. S.
