This appeal is filed through jail. The Appellant is sentenced to undergo imprisonment for life. Appeal is admitted. 2.

Rule 31 of Chapter XXVI of the Bombay High Court Appellate Side Rules, 1960 provides for appointment of advocate for undefended accused at the Government cost. The appointment has to be made by the Deputy Registrar in the categories listed in the said Rule. The Registry to examine the said position and proceed to take necessary steps. If the case does not fall within the ambit of

skn 2 8-APEAL(ST)-5722.2021.doc Rule 31, the Registrar (Judicial) will appoint an advocate from the panel of the Legal Aid to represent the Appellant in appeal and in the bail application i.e. Interim Application No.1433/2021. 3.

So far as Interim Application No.1434/2021 for legal aid is concerned, the same stands disposed of.
