Heard learned counsel for the Petitioners.

It is the grievance of the Petitioners that the Respondent No.7 is illegally changing the use of the land allotted by the Government for the purpose of the Society. Accordingly, a complaint was made by the Petitioners on 31st December 2021 to the Sub-Divisional Officer (S.D.O.), Jat, District Sangli.

On the basis of such complaint, the S.D.O., Jat, submitted a report dated 13th January 2022 to the Collector, Sangli. Even the District Deputy Registrar (D.D.R.), Co-operative Societies, Sangli had submitted a report dated 14th January 2022 to the Collector, Sangli. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioners that despite the reports which were submitted on the basis of the complaint made by the Petitioners, the said reports are not being taken to its logical conclusion by the Collector, Sangli.

Mr. Kulkarni, learned counsel appearing for the Respondent No.7 submitted that the Petitioners are habitual in filing false complaints. It is further submitted that the Petitioners have no locus to file such complaints. It is further submitted that in fact, the reports which have been submitted by the Authorities are in favour of the Respondent No.7. 5.
Be that as it may, since the reports are submitted by the S.D.O., Jat, as well as the D.D.R. to the Collector, Sangli, it is expected that the Collector, Sangli, to take the said reports to their logical conclusion. The same be done by the Collector, Sangli, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of communication of this Order.

It is open for the Petitioners to make appropriate representation on the basis of the reports and point out the shortcomings / deficiencies, if any. Such representation shall be made within a period of two weeks 2 of
from today to the Collector. The Collector to consider the response of the Petitioners to the reports and take an appropriate decision within a period of 12 weeks from 6th January 2026. The Petitioners to remain present before the Collector, Sangli, on 6th January 2026 at 11:00 a.m.. 7.
The Petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 8.
