By the order dated 18.12.2018 passed by the respondent No.3, the petitioner has been externed for the period of one year from Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur Districts under Section 55 of the Maharashtra Police Act. This order is challenged by the petitioner under Section 16 of the said Act by filing Appeal bearing No.164 of 2018 before the respondent No.1 Divisional Commissioner, Pune Division, Pune.

The short grievance of the petitioner is that though the said Appeal is heard and same is closed for orders on 26.02.2019, no orders are passed.

In the above circumstances we deem it convenient to dispose of the petition by directing the respondent No.1 to dispose of appeal by passing final order in the said appeal which is filed by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, and in any case, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this order. Order accordingly.

It is expressly made clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter and this order should not be construed as an expression on merits and all points and contentions of all parties are kept open.
