In this writ petition, challenge has been raised to the orders dated 12/12/2003 and 31/05/2004 thereby rejecting the prayer made by the petitioners for grant of affiliation. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that by virtue of the interim order passed on 02/07/2004, the petitioners continued to admit students at the college provisionally. 2.

It is seen that the writ petition was dismissed on 28/11/2018, as a result of which, the interim order ceased to operate. 3.

In these facts, we find that with the passage of considerable time, the norms for grant of affiliation are likely to have undergone a change. The petitioners are, therefore, at liberty to seek affiliation by taking appropriate steps afresh. If such request is made by the petitioners, the Respondent No.1 shall consider the same in accordance with the 1/2

38-WP-5157-2004.doc Rameshwar Dilwale prevailing requirements. It is made clear that if any fresh application is made, the same shall be considered in accordance with law. The rejection of the earlier proposal for affiliation on 12/12/2003 and 31/05/2004 shall not come in the way of the petitioners, if the deficiencies indicated therein have been removed.
