This is an Appeal under section 54 of the Land Acquisition Act challenging the judgment and award dated 27/02/1991 passed by the Reference Court in Land Acquisition Reference No.73/1985. 2.

The land of the Respondents was acquired for the purpose of submergence area of Doodhganga Project. Not being satisfied with the quantum of compensation awarded by the Land Acquisition Officer, the Respondent filed reference under section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act.

After considering the evidence on record, the Reference Court has enhanced the compensation to Rs.45,445/- with statutory benefits. 1/2
