In the instant case, the SLAO has granted compensation of Rs.8,143/- which is further enhanced by the Reference Court to Rs.60,700/-. The amount being meagre, this Court would not entertain the appeal filed by the State and the appeal is accordingly dismissed. 2.

The appeal is dismissed on account of meagre compensation, as such, the value determined of land before the reference court and upheld by this Court, should not be treated as precedent in determining the values of the adjacent lands if the acquired lands are of large area. (ARUN R. PEDNEKER, J.) 1/1
