There have been subsequent developments. The Brother of Petitioner, Vivek S. Thakur has been granted certiicate of validity by the Scheduled Tribe Certiicate Scrutiny Committee, Division Konkan as belonging to "Thakar" scheduled tribe on 3rd September 2025. In the light of law laid down by this Court in Apoorva Vinay Nichale v. Divisional Caste Certiicate Scrutiny Committee1, the Petitioner being close blood relative, is entitled to the certiicate as belonging to Thakar, scheduled tribe. The impugned order is, therefore, quashed and set aside. The Scheduled Tribe Certiicate Scrutiny Committee, 2010 Mh.L.J. 401.
