The Petitioner has approached this Court against an order passed by the Sub­divisional Officer and Election Officer, Municipal Council, Karad, on 14th November, 1992, whereby the nomination of the Petitioner as a candidate for Ward No.18 was rejected on the ground that the name of the Petitioner was deleted from the list of voters. 3.

This Court by order dated 22nd November, 1996 had granted interim relief in terms of prayer Clause (e), and thereby directed the Respondent no.1 to accept the nomination paper of the Petitioner from Ward No.18 of the Karad Muncipal Council.

It is evident that by the sheer passage of time this petition has become infructuous as the Petitioner's nomination was directed to be accepted and the term of the council expired long back.
