1. Pursuant to an order dated 23 rd January, 2019, the learned AGP tenders affidavit of Subhash R.. Chougule, Deputy Director of Education, in these two matters. In paragraph 3, the deponent has stated that his department is in the process of complying with the order dated 2 nd May, 2016 and will release the back wages by depositing the amount in the accounts of the petitioners within six weeks from today. The learned AGP confirms that the statement is 1/2

4.cp-326.18.odt applicable in both the petitions and the amounts thus be released to both the petitioners.

2. In view of the statement, I am of the view that the contempt petitions need not be kept pending. However, in the event of non compliance, the petitioners Advocates will be at liberty to apply for restoring the matter to file inasmuch as no fresh contempt petition needs to be filed.
