Heard learned Counsel for the respective parties. 2.

It is submitted before this Court that the Petitioner is resident of village Dharangrastha Vasahat, Danoli, Tq. Shirol, Dist. Kolhapur and his lands were acquired for Dudhganga project. Thus, the submission is Petitioner is a project affected person and as per the policy of the State Government under the relevant rules, the Petitioner is entitled for an alternate land being a project affected person. 3.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner invited our attention to the copy of application on record 'Exhibit A' to submit that the application is submitted to the Umesh Malani

10.WP.5126.2021.doc competent authority i.e. Respondent No. 1 on 07.12.2020, but till date no decision is taken by the competent authority.

Learned Counsel for Petitioner further submitted that the Petitioner has placed on record all the necessary documents along with application. 5.

Considering the limited grievance raised by the Petitioner of inaction on the part of the Respondent authority, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the Petition by issuing directions to the Respondent authority and more particularly, Respondent No. 1to decide the application of the petitioner. 6.

We, accordingly, direct Respondent No.1 to decide the application submitted by the Petitioner dated 07.12.2020 on its own merits as expeditiously as possible and not later than 8 weeks from the date of receipt of the order of this Court.

Petition is disposed of in the above referred terms. 8.

All concerned to act upon authenticated copy of this order issued by the Registry of this Court.
