After arguing for some time, learned Counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw this Petition with liberty to the petitioner to avail the alternate remedy of Appeal provided under Section 14 of the Maharashtra Groundwater (Regulation for Drinking Water Purposes) Act, 1993.

With the aforesaid liberty, the Petition is allowed to be withdrawn and is disposed of as such. We, however, make it clear that in case the petitioner files an Appeal, the same shall be considered and decided by the Appellate Authority as expeditiously as possible but not later than 3 weeks from the date of its filing.

With the aforesaid, Writ Petition is disposed of. All the contentions are kept open.
