After the petition was heard for sometime, Mr. Patil on instructions sought leave to withdraw the petition with liberty to apply to the Collector / appropriate authority for granting land which is a subject matter of the petition, to the petitioner. In the petition, the order dated 19th July 2019 passed by the Collector was impugned. Notwithstanding that order, petitioners application will be considered afresh and decided on merits in accordance with law. Mr. Patil states that application raising all contentions will be made within four weeks from today.

Since the issue has been going on over 20 years, we would direct the authority to dispose the application within 12 weeks of the application Meera Jadhav

2/2 21-wp-12759-18.doc being filed after giving personal hearing to petitioners. The order to be passed shall deal with all submissions of petitioner and consider all the documents that petitioners may file in support of their claim. All petitions disposed.

We however, clarify that we have not made any observations on the merits of petitioners' entitlement.
