Writ Petition No.11228/2023 is filed on behalf of 90 Petitioners and Writ Petition No.11259/2023 is filed on behalf of 108 Petitioners seeking a direction to Respondent Nos.2 and 3 to grant them additional increments.

Not a single representation or communication is annexed to this petition which would show that the Petitioners had demanded this increment, let alone any communication from the Respondents refusing to grant such increment. The Petitioners have directly approached this Cout by seeking a writ of mandamus. The learned AGP states that grant of additional increment is not automatic and each case will have to be considered by the Committee.

Therefore, we dispose of the petition leaving it open to the Petitioners to apply for additional increment and it is for the Committee to decide whether the Petitioners are entitled to the same, who will communicate the decision to the Petitioner. 4.
