1] By judgment and order dated 5th February 2018 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Kolhapur, in Sessions Case No. 104 of 2015, the applicant was convicted and sentenced under section 376 of IPC. Being aggrieved by the said judgment and order, the applicant preferred appeal no. 552 of 2018.

2] The prayer of the applicant in the present application is that a legal aid counsel be appointed to represent him in his appeal.

26-APPA-783-18 3] In view of the prayer made in this application, we appoint Ms Rohini Dandekar, who is on the panel of the Advocates of the High Court Legal Services Authority, to represent the applicant in his appeal.

4] Application is allowed in above terms.
