The order impugned is rendered by the Appellate Court in Misc. Civil Appeal 14 of 2018, whereby the Plaintiff is held entitled to injunctive relief in the nature of restraint order which prevents the Defendants 1 & 2 from interfering with the purported rights of worship.

It is common ground that since the concerned period for the current year has expired, it would not be necessary to continue with the injunction order.

It is further common ground that it would be in the interest of both the parties, if the suit is decided expeditiously, as is already directed by the learned Appellate Court.

The order impugned is modifed and while the injunction order shall not operate, the learned trial Judge is requested to ensure that suit itself is decided on or before 30.05.2023, as is already directed by the Appellate Court. 5.

The Petition is disposed of.
