The petitioner-Subhas Babaji Bhosale is seeking a direction to the Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur to take a final decision on the proposal dated 9th August 2021 forwarded by Durgambhag Vikas Shikshan Prasarak Mandal-respondent no.6. 2.

The petitioner claims that he posses the qualification of Bachelor in Science and has obtained a B.Ed qualification. The petitioner further states that the Education Officer (Secondary) did not grant permission for publishing an advertisement for appointment on the post of Head Master which had fallen vacant on superannuation of Shri. A. Z. Gavade on 31st May 2021. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the refusal by the Educational Officer (Secondary) to grant permission for advertisement for appointment on the vacant post of Head Master was on the ground that such recruitment should be made through Pavitra Portal but that decision was not in consonance with the 1/2

Rameshwar Dilwale 911-WP-10240-25.doc settle legal position. Therefore, the Headmaster of the Durgambhag Vikas Shikshan Prasarak Mandal made several representations. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the proposal dated 21st April 2025 forwarded by the Headmaster of Durgambhag Vikas Shikshan Prasarak Mandal is pending consideration before the Education Officer (Secondary) and no decision has been taken thereon.

In the background of the aforementioned factual position, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Education Officer (Secondary) to take a decision on the proposal dated 9th August 2021 within a period of six weeks.

Writ Petition No.10240 of 2025 is disposed of with aforesaid direction to the Education Officer (Secondary)-respondent no.5. [MANJUSHA DESHPANDE, J.] [SHREE CHANDRASHEKHAR, J. ] 2/2
