.
Both these petitions involve challenge to the rejection of the nomination papers of the petitioners by an order passed way back on 31/5/2016, which order has been confirmed by the Appellate Authority on 10/6/2016.
2.
Learned counsel for the petitioners states that this Court in a batch of petitions, being Writ Petition No.6492/2016 and others had granted rule on 15/6/2016. However, a perusal of the said order Mamta Kale
2/2 914-wp-4511-17 & Anr shows that the petitions were admitted for the academic purpose of deciding scope of bye-law No.40 of respondent No.3 Bank. 3.
Learned counsel for the respondent No.3 on the contrary points out that one of the connected petitions, being Writ Petition No.8060/10 has been dismissed by this Court on 18/1/2017 in view of the fact that the election had already taken place. 4.
I find that the elections are long over in the year 2016 and therefore, I decline to entertain the petitions which are accordingly dismissed, with no order as to costs.
5.
The issue about the scope of bye-law No.40 of the Bank is left open.
