This matter was on board on 2nd February 2023 when learned Counsel for Respondent Nos. 5 to 9 stated that the issue of payment of compensation to his clients, in respect of alternate lands bearing Gat Nos. 1216 and 2787 at Village Bhadole, Tal. Hatkanangale, District Kolhapur, is pending.

Learned AGP appearing for the Respondent Nos. 1 to 4-State, 1 /2
Yugandhara Patil 5-WP-7908-2017.doc handed over a letter dated 17th February 2023, issued by Deputy Collector (Rehabilitation) Kolhapur, to Executive Enginner Varna Canal Division, directing that the land acquisition proposal for the said two gat Nos. 1216 and 2787, be immediately prepared and sent for processing. She states on instructions that such proposal will be secured within two weeks and for final payment of compensation to Respondent Nos. 5 to 9, the procedure of acquisition will be completed and compensation will be paid within a period of one year from today.

In view of statement made by learned AGP, the RespondentState is directed to complete the procedure and make payment to Respondent Nos. 5 to 9 as expeditiously as possible. 4.
Respondent Nos. 5 to 9 are at liberty to apply, in case of any difficulty.
