By this petition the petitioner is seeking a direction to respondent No.2Committee to verify and scrutinise the claim of the petitioner as belonging to Hindu Mahadev Koli, a Scheduled Tribe, as expeditiously as possible and within a period of three months from the date of filing of this petition. 2.
This is one more petition in the batch of petitions which have been disposed of by this Court with a speaking order
and on the statement of the learned Advocate General. Those petitions are only kept for compliance and in relation to other aspects.
3.
The present Writ Petition No.6548 of 2018 was mentioned before us by Mr. Aradhye on two occasions and we expected that because of the statement made by none other than the learned Advocate General, it would not be necessary for other students similarly placed to file writ petitions in this Court. 4.
However, when this petition was moved that order was not passed. Today, we placed this matter only to dispose it of in terms of the directions in the other petitions and equally in terms of the statement made on instructions by the learned AGP. He states that the Committee for Scrutiny and Verification of Tribe Claims, Pune Region, Pune before whom the claim is pending, will pass the requisite order in accordance with law within a period of eight days from today. We accept this statement as an undertaking to this Court.
5.
The petitioner has already remained present before
the Committee in terms of its notice today.
6.
The writ petition is disposed of.
