The caste certificate of the Petitioner was referred to the Committee for verification. The Committee observed that the caste certificate issued to the Petitioner is not with a correct nomenclature. The Petitioner thereafter applied to the SDO for issuance of the corrected caste certificate. The said application is pending for more than one year.

The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that he has obtained the attested copy of the caste certificate from the Scrutiny Committee with an incorrect nomenclature of the caste and submitted to the SDO.

The SDO shall verify the said caste certificate and upon verification if he finds that it is issued by his office, shall issue the caste certificate to the Petitioner with correct nomenclature preferably within six weeks from today. Upon receipt, the same shall be re-submitted to the Committee by the Petitioner. The Scrutiny Committee shall decide the caste claim on its own merit preferably within six weeks from the date of the receipt of the copy of the caste certificate from the Petitioner with correct nomenclature. 4.

With the aforesaid observations and directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
