This Appeal was referred to District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ratnagiri for settlement as per the order dated 5th July 2024. Then, the matter was sent to the Court of Civil Judge Junior Division, Chiplun. There is a successful report sent as per the letter dated 16th August 2024.

Learned Judge has called the parties. The Complainant-Mr.Sunil Jain was present and so also, the Accused-Nitin Bhosale has agreed to Ganesh Lokhande, PA 1/2

4-Apeal-716-2011.doc pay Rs.70,000/- to the Complainant and in fact, it is paid in cash. The Consent Terms are executed. It is signed by both the parties and by the learned Judge.

Even the receipt is issued. The entire report is taken on record and marked as Annexure "X". Mr.Shirsat is having confirmation from the instructing Advocate, that the matter is settled. 4.

In view of this, the Appeal stand disposed of. 5.

Certainly, the efforts taken by the learned Civil Judge, Junior Division, Chiplun is appreciated. He has taken pains in calling the parties and the record is also maintained properly in the form of Roznama. This is the advantage of referring the matter to mediation. Learned Principal District Judge take a note about the performance of the Chiplun Judge.
