The petitioner has made various representations to the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur as regards the functioning of the Gram Panchayat and Gram Sevak. It is submitted that the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur took cognizance of the complaint of the petitioner and initiated enquiry to be conducted by lower rank officer. It is submitted that the authority has not properly enquired into the matter and has not completed the enquiry against the erring officials. The petitioner has prayed for decision on the representation/s made.

The present petition can be disposed of by directing the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur to treat this petition as representation. If the enquiry has been initiated, the same be taken to its logical conclusion expeditiously, and if not, on the representation/s made by the petitioner a decision thereon be taken within a period of 8 weeks from the date this order is placed on the record of the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner assures that copy of this order will be placed before the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur for further consideration on or before 30/6/2025.
