We have heard learned Counsel for the Petitioner and learned AGP for the Respondent-State.

We are not really happy with the way the claim of petitioner for grant of his own provident fund beneits was handled by Zilla Parishad, Sindhudurg. This order may be placed before the Chief Executive Oicer, Zilla Parishad, Sindhudurg, who shall examine the matter of delay in releasing the provident fund dues of the Petitioner and issue appropriate directions for expediting the genuine claims for payment of provident fund dues of other employees of Zilla Parishad. Learned Counsel for the Petitioner, on instructions of Petitioner, who has retired as Doctor / Medical Oicer, Class-I, in all fairness submitted that Petitioner does not want to prosecute this petition any further as his provident fund dues, though belatedly, have been paid. We appreciate the grace in which the Petitioner has conducted himself. Likewise, we expect the Respondent No. 4 to do the needful so that genuine claims of other employees are not unnecessarily withheld in a manner as is done in the present case.

Writ petition is disposed of as not pressed.
