None for petitioner. Heard Shri Kamkhedkar, the learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner has filed this petition through jail seeking following reliefs :

"(a) Rule be issued.

(b) By an appropriate writ, order or direction of this Hon'ble Court, this Hon'ble Cour tbe leased to direct the respondent-State and its functionaries to grant all rights and facilities similar to all other prisoners.

(c) Interim or ad-interim relief in terms of prayer above may kindly be granted."

The petitioner made a grievance that he should be given similar treatment and appointed as 'Night Watchman and Convict Overseer' so that he will get remission benefit to some extent. Shraddha Talekar PS

Shri Kamkhedkar, the learned APP has placed on record a report from the Superintendent, Kolhapur Central Jail, Kalamba, Kolhapur. The report shows that the petitioner has been entrusted the duty as 'Night Watchman' with effect from 12-12-2017. The said report is taken on record.

In the light of above report, the grievance of the petitioner raised in the instant petition no more survives.
