The petitioner seeks direction to the respondent Caste Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner. The petitioner is Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat. Learned A.G.P. submits that within a period of six months the Caste Scrutiny committee shall decide the caste claim of the petitioner finally. We direct the Caste Scrutiny Committee to decide the claim of the petitioner on its own merits within a period of six months from today.

The petitioner apprehends disqualification on account of non submission of caste validity certificate. In case the proceedings are initiated against the petitioner, the petitioner would be at liberty to resort to appropriate remedy.
