This petition forms part of a group of matters along with Writ Petition Nos.2919/2000 and 2917/2000. The writ petition is not placed on board today along with the companion matters. The writ petition is, however, called out, by consent of parties and taken up for hearing along with the present companion matters.

The facts of this petition are more or less similar to the facts of Writ Petition Nos.2919/2000, which has been disposed of by a speaking order today. The present petition is also, accordingly, disposed of by directing that though backwages and salary differential will not be claimed by the Petitioner for the period of dismissal from service, i.e. for the period between 19 June 1999 to 23 June 2003, the Petitioner's prospective salary and terminal benefits will be decided on the basis of continuity of service.
