By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent nos. 4 and 6 to register an FIR against the concerned Police Officers.

Learned APP raises a preliminary objection. She submits that the petitioner has an alternate efficacious remedy of filing a complaint before Maharashtra State Police Complaint Authority, as permissible in law.

In view of the aforesaid, learned Counsel for the petitioner does not press this petition and seeks leave to withdraw the petition with liberty to pursue other remedy as is available in law.

The petition is accordingly disposed of as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for.

We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the petitioner's complaint and as such all contentions of all the parties are kept open.
