This is an application seeking condonation of delay in filing an appeal against conviction wherein the Applicant is convicted for the offence punishable under section 5 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and sentenced to suffer R.I. for 10 years and fine of Rs.30,000/­. The Applicant is also convicted for the offence punishable under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and under section 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The delay is of 19 days. 2.

For the reasons assigned in paragraph Nos. 2,3,4 and 5, the application deserves to be granted. Application is allowed in terms of prayer clause (a) and stands disposed of .
