Petitioner claiming to be a society registered under Societies Registration Act points out harassment by police. Submission is only members of society are permitted to enter and they do not play or engage in any illegal activities. Insistence of police that Petitioner therefore, should obtain licence under Bombay Police Act is unwarranted.

Learned APP points out that matter is pending since 2015 without any interim order. She also pointed out that no representation has been made to police authorities pointing out any harassment.

Similar controversy looked into by us in relation to Kolhapur Sneha Chavan 1/2

2 wp 3153-15=.doc District in Criminal Writ Petition No.4603 of 2017 decided on 31.01.2019 . There we have given Petitioner an opportunity to make representation and ask the Superintendent of Police at Kolhapur to take suitable decision upon it in time bond manner. 4.

Here also, we are inclined to adopt same course of action. We kept all contentions of the Petitioner open and grant leave to make an appropriate representation within three weeks to the Superintendent of Police at Kolhapur.

If such representation is make, that Authority shall examine it in accordance with law within next six weeks and take decision. 6.
