The Petitioner, who himself is an accused, has sought a direction to investigate the subject crime through CBI. In our opinion, such prayer cannot be granted at the behest of accused. The Petition has no merit and the same is accordingly dismissed.

In view of the disposal of writ petition, criminal application No. 290 of 2018 does not survive and the same is accordingly dismissed.
