The learned AGP has placed on record a letter dated 17th January 2015 addressed to him by the Tahsildar, Shirol, District - Kolhapur. The letter records that the Circle Officer of Shirol has retired by superannuation on 31st December 2014, and as of today, the additional charge of his post is held by Shri A.R. Kamble, Avval Karkun. 2.

Therefore, now the hearing in terms of the notice dated 24th July 2012 will be conducted by Shri A.R. Kamble who is holding the substantive post of Avval Karkun. Therefore, it is not necessary to decide in this Petition the issue whether the post of Circle Officer is equivalent to the post of Avval Karkun.

We direct Shri A.R. Kamble, who is holding the post of Avval Karkun, to hear the parties in terms of the show cause notice dated 24th July 2012 and to pass an appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of two months from today. 4.

All contentions on merits are kept open.

The Petition is disposed of on above terms.

All concerned to act upon an authenticated copy of this order.
