The Petitioner has filed this Writ Petition with a prayer to direct the Respondent to take decision for pre-mature release of the Petitioner since he had under-gone actual imprisonment of 14 years and for adequate remission. It is stated that the Petitioner has under-gone 25 years 2 months sentence on the date of filing of the Application. During the pendency of this Writ Petition, the Respondent Authorities have placed on record a report showing the actual period undergone by the Petitioner. It is mentioned in the said report that in the month of April 2017, the Petitioner had undergone 19 years 11 months 11 days sentence. By this time, the Petitioner might have completed more than 25 years imprisonment. According to the Respondent Authorities, the Petitioner lgc

(8) wp-2867.16.odt deserves to be categorized under Clause 4(e) of the Guidelines framed under Government Resolution No. RLP-1006/CR-621/PRS-3 dated 15/03/2010 issued by Government of Maharashtra.

In that view of the matter, in case the Petitioner has already undergone 26 years imprisonment, he might have been released. In case the Petitioner is not released on completion of 26 years imprisonment, he shall be released forthwith, if not required in any other case.
