The limited relief as sought by the petitioner in the present proceedings under Article 226 of the Constitution is that the application filed by the petitioner before the Additional Chief Secretary, School Education and Sports, a reminder to the same vide petitioner's letter dated 10 March, 2023 being also made, be taken up and decided by the Additional Chief Secretary. The claim of the petitioner is in respect of an amount of Rs.17,89,889/- be payable to the petitioner in regard to the supplies which was undertaken by the State Government under the Midday meal scheme. 2.

Considering the limited relief as prayed for, we are of the opinion that the concerned authority shall take a decision on the petitioner's

9.WP15184_2023.doc pending application as expeditiously as possible after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner in accordance with law. Let this exercise be undertaken within a period of one month from the date the copy of this order is presented before the appropriate authority. 3.

All contentions of the parties are expressly kept open. 4.

Disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
